In Scotland, community councils are voluntary organizations that represent the views of their local area to public authorities and local authorities. They are the first tier of statutory representation in Scotland.

Sub-Groups
As well as the Full Council members, Buckie & District Community Council can nominate Associate Members to work with us on specific projects for the benefit of the community. Council members work with the Associate Members by the formation of sub-groups whos sole purpose is to work on seeing the project through.

Linzi Gordon Community Play Park
A group looking to update and improve one of Buckies main play parks
Buckie & District Bairns Bank
Stocks donations for distribution to those in need in the community
Community Resilience Group
A group looking to support the community in the event of crisis

There are a number of local Groups in Buckie – some are Support Groups, some ar Social Groups and then of course there are the Sports Groups – all working to make the best of our community .

Buckie Mens Shed
Open to men aged 18 and over, men’s sheds have the primary goal of tackling social isolation and promoting good mental health and wellbeing
The Hub
The Hub aims to offer help such as accessing information and support on anything from finance, housing, to family relationships and health.

Stocks quality second user Goods and helps those in need source essential and household items

Held every year – one of the most attended community events in Buckie

The second largest hall in the Moray area – able to support a wide range of events from weddings to coffee mornings to group meetings.
